Deborah Barlow

Deborah Barlow is a Boston based artist, writer, curator and artist advocate. During the past 50 years she has had over 50 solo exhibitions and numerous group shows in museums, galleries, universities and institutions in the US, Europe and the UK.
Building up layers with pigments, paints and natural substances, her paintings mirror the complexity in a multi-dimensional world. “The layers of opacity, in turns cloudy and shimmering, could be slowly accreting lichen, or the birth of a galaxy, the polarities of the intimate and infinite united together in one space.” (Sarah Robinson)
Barlow is also the founder of Pell Lucy, a sister collective to Spliced Connector.
