Larry Rushing

I am an African-American New York City-based artist. Working from life I create a stylized interior and/or exterior still life composition including the nude placed in various architectural environments. Born on a farm in rural Georgia, I was delivered by my great-grandmother, the county midwife and matriarch. Symbols of femininity are used as recognizable points of reference.
